TAKING A RIDE FOR SUSTAINABLE DESIGN

My voyages has taken me across the globe encountering breathtaking sights and sounds. One thing which strikes me time and time again, is just how fragile our environment is. It is like a sleeping infant, innocent and frail.

''So you might ask the Lady, why is she so adamant to inform the masses of sustainable design?''

A healthy environment is the foundation of human life. It provides us with the goods and services that we need to survive and thrive. Sustainability design strives to create products and services that are beneficial not only to the producer and the consumer but to the global economy and the environment as a whole. This is achieved through the use of renewable resources as well as by incorporating the natural environment and human interaction with the natural environment into designs. Whether the concept of sustainability design is being applied to the development of a farm or the development of a new product or service, the idea behind sustainability design is the same: to create products and services that reduce negative environmental impact and also make a positive, long lasting impact on global and local economies.

It is now more evident than ever that we need to drastically change our destructive behaviour and adverse habits. Quite frankly said, it is do or die my darlings...
